In recent years, the listing of LNG futures in China has been put on the agenda. On November 8th in 2021, Wang Fenghai, general manager of SHFE, revealed at the 10th China International Petroleum Trade Conference that LNG futures had been officially approved by the CSRC in August of that year and were speeding up the listing work.
Have the listing conditions for LNG futures been met? Industry insiders believe that the overall market environment for the LNG futures has been basically equipped with the significant improvement of the activity of China"s natural gas spot market, the gradual expansion of market size, more diversified participants, and the gradual improvement of import and export channels, storage and transportation and other infrastructure.
